Fairway Solitaire takes the card game you already know and drops it onto a golf course. The idea is simple. A card sits face up at the bottom of the screen.
You scan the table above it and remove any card that is one rank higher or one rank lower. Keep that chain going and the layout shrinks with every move.
That alone would be a decent time killer, but the special cards are what give it teeth. Water hazards block your path. Sand traps punish careless choices.
Iron cards change how a hole plays. Wild cards hand you a way out when the board looks stuck. Each one forces you to think a step ahead instead of grabbing the first match you see.
The game walks you through nine courses. Every course adds its own layout and its own mix of obstacles, so the difficulty climbs without ever feeling unfair. Clear enough cards and you move on.
Run out of options and you start over, which is easy to do because a round moves fast.
ZeroSpace Games is publishing Fairway Solitaire. The rules take a minute to learn. The courses take a lot longer to master.
If you like solitaire and you like a challenge that keeps shifting under your feet, this one is worth a look.
