In Shortcut Run, you start at the back of the pack. The goal is simple: find a way to get to the front. Running across water gives you a speed boost, but you cannot just splash through.

You need to collect bricks to build a bridge. Gather them as you go, because they are your ticket to winning.

Watch your step. If you fall into the water, you are out. The controls use a simple joystick to move left and right.

It is a straightforward race, but only the first place finisher gets to move on. If you do not come in first, you cannot play the next round. So every race matters.

You can also pick up track boards along the way. These can be used to pave your own path, or you can hold onto them for a bonus at the final score. But the real trick is finding shortcuts.

Use your bricks and boards wisely to cut corners and leave the other runners behind.
